When you create or manage an account, we may collect:

  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Account identifier;
  • Login and authentication information;
  • Profile name, username and profile photograph;
  • Information received through Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, in accordance with the permissions you grant to those providers.

We do not receive your Apple or Google account password.

We may collect information about your use of the driving theory learning features, including:

  • Saved or flagged questions;
  • Learning progress;
  • Mock test results and scores;
  • Hazard perception activity;
  • Competition results, rankings and achievements;
  • Study preferences and recommendations.

This information allows us to synchronise your progress between devices and provide personalised learning features.

Results generated within WeDrive are for learning and revision purposes only. They are not official DVSA examination results.

Community and user-generated content

If you use our community or social features, we may process:

  • Posts, comments, replies and reviews;
  • Photographs and other content you upload;
  • Profile information;
  • Friends, followers or other social connections;
  • Competition and ranking information;
  • Reports, moderation requests and communications with other users.

Content posted publicly or shared with other users may be visible to those users. You should not post driving licences, test certificates, financial information, health information or other sensitive personal data.

Photographs and camera access

With your permission, the App may access your camera or selected photographs so that you can upload a profile image or community content.

We do not access your entire photo library unless you grant the relevant permission. You can withdraw camera or photo access through your device settings, although some upload functions may then be unavailable.

Location information

Where location-based or “nearby users” features are available, we may process approximate or precise location information only after obtaining the required device permission.

Location access is optional. You can disable it through your device settings. Disabling location may prevent location-based features from operating.

We do not use location information to determine your eligibility to drive or take a driving test.

Device, usage and diagnostic information

We may collect technical information such as:

  • Device identifiers;
  • Device model and operating system;
  • App version and language;
  • App interactions and usage events;
  • Crash reports, diagnostics and performance information;
  • Notification tokens;
  • Security, authentication and fraud-prevention information;
  • IP address and similar network information processed when your device communicates with our servers.

We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service.

Subscription information

Paid subscriptions are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. ONE PASS LTD does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Apple may provide us with limited information such as:

  • Subscription status;
  • Product purchased;
  • Transaction or receipt identifier;
  • Renewal and expiry status;
  • Country or storefront information.

Apple processes payments under its own privacy policy and terms.

If you contact us, we may collect your email address, telephone number, message contents and any attachments you provide.

Subject to applicable law and your preferences, we may also send service messages, push notifications, emails or SMS messages about your account, subscription, learning activity, new features or promotions.

3. How We Use Personal Data

  • Comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations;
  • Establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We will not use personal data for a materially different purpose without providing appropriate notice and, where required, obtaining consent.

4. Our Legal Bases

Where the UK GDPR or similar legislation applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to create your account, provide learning functions, synchronise progress and manage subscriptions.
  • Consent: for optional permissions, location access, photo access, certain marketing, personalised advertising and tracking where required.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, provide analytics, prevent fraud, moderate content and support users, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws, court orders, accounting obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Legal claims and vital interests: where necessary to protect users, the public or our legal rights.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

5. Artificial Intelligence Features

Certain versions of the Service may include an AI-assisted driving theory or learning feature.

Information you submit to an AI feature, together with relevant learning context, may be processed to generate an answer or recommendation. Where an external AI service provider processes personal data, we will provide appropriate disclosure and obtain permission where required.

Do not submit sensitive personal data, driving licence details, financial information or confidential information to an AI feature. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate and do not constitute legal, driving or road-safety advice.

6. Advertising and Tracking

The Service may display advertisements.

Where advertising or analytics involves tracking your activity across apps or websites owned by other companies, we will request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework where required.

You can decline tracking permission without losing access to the App’s core theory-learning functions. You may also manage advertising and tracking permissions through your device settings.

We do not sell personal data for money. Where applicable law treats personalised advertising as “selling,” “sharing” or targeted advertising, you may opt out by withdrawing tracking consent or contacting us.

7. When We Share Personal Data

We may share personal data with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:

  • Apple, for Sign in with Apple, subscriptions and App Store services;
  • Google, for Google Sign-In and related services;
  • Cloud hosting and database providers;
  • Authentication and account-management providers;
  • Analytics, crash-reporting and performance providers;
  • Push notification and communication providers;
  • Advertising providers, where advertisements are enabled;
  • Content delivery and video-streaming providers;
  • Content moderation, security and fraud-prevention providers;
  • AI service providers, where an AI feature is used;
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers and legal advisers.

These providers may only process personal data for authorised purposes and must provide protections consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may also disclose information:

  • When required by law, regulation or valid legal process;
  • To protect the rights, safety and security of ONE PASS LTD, our users or others;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of business assets;
  • With your direction or consent.

Public posts, profile information, rankings and other content you choose to share may be visible to other users and should not be treated as private.

8. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom, but some service providers may process data in the European Economic Area, the United States or other countries.

Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we use an appropriate legal safeguard where required, such as:

  • UK adequacy regulations;
  • The UK International Data Transfer Agreement;
  • The UK Addendum to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses;
  • Another lawful transfer mechanism.

You may contact us for further information about the safeguards applying to your data.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Unless a longer period is legally required:

  • Account and learning data is normally retained while the account remains active;
  • Public posts and community content are retained until deleted by the user, removed by us or the account is deleted;
  • Deleted account data is normally removed from active systems within 30 days;
  • Residual copies may remain in secure backups for up to 90 days;
  • Security and diagnostic logs may be retained for up to 12 months;
  • Customer-support records may be retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed;
  • Records needed for accounting, tax, disputes or legal compliance may be retained for up to six years or longer where required by law.

We may retain anonymised or aggregated information that can no longer identify you.

10. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion using the Delete Account option in the App’s account settings or by emailing info@onepass.ltd.

Deleting the App from your device does not automatically delete your account.

When an account is deleted:

  • Access to the account will end;
  • Learning progress and account information will be scheduled for deletion;
  • Public content may be removed or anonymised;
  • Information required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution or fraud prevention may be retained for the applicable period.

Content copied, quoted or shared by other users may remain visible where removing it is not technically or legally practicable.

Subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your Apple account settings. Deleting a WeDrive account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion;
  • Restrict certain processing;
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Withdraw consent;
  • Request a portable copy of eligible data;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising or certain data sharing;
  • Complain to a data-protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact info@onepass.ltd. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

12. Marketing and Notifications

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may opt out of marketing SMS messages by following the instructions in the message or contacting us.

Push notifications can be disabled in your device settings.

We may still send essential service, account, subscription, safety or security communications where necessary.

13. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 16 or over.

We do not knowingly permit children under 16 to create an account. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal data, contact us at info@onepass.ltd so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Users aged 16 or 17 should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian where required by local law. We apply additional care to young users’ data and do not knowingly use their personal data for behavioural advertising.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, secure communications and restrictions on staff and service-provider access.

No internet or storage system is completely secure. Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and should notify us if they suspect unauthorised access.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties, including Apple, Google and DVSA-related resources.

Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. ONE PASS LTD is not responsible for independent third-party websites or services.

WeDrive is an independent learning product. Any relationship with DVSA, use of licensed materials or official status should be described separately and accurately in the App listing and applicable terms.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our products, technology, providers or legal obligations change.

We will publish the updated version on our website and change the “Last updated” date. Where a change materially affects users’ rights or how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice where required.
